Momentous Alumni & Friends Event just one of several cross-country gatherings this year

West Coast alumni and supporters gathered in Vancouver on Wednesday, June 28 to reminisce, connect, and hear updates from members of Trent’s senior leadership team as they discussed the boldest philanthropic campaign in the University’s history.

The Momentous Alumni & Friends Gathering was held at the Stanley Park Brewing Restaurant & Brewpub where supporters met with Chancellor Stephen Stohn ’66; Campaign for Momentous Change leader Linda Schuyler ’18 (hon); Sherry Booth ’98, associate vice-president Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement; Alma Barranco-Mendoza ’90, co-president Trent University Alumni Association; and Emily Vassiliadis ’94, senior development officer.

“We thank all who joined us for this engaging event that allowed us to learn more about our West Coast alumni and share University updates,” says associate VP Booth. “As we travel from coast to coast, we continue to build excitement and grow momentum for Trent's Campaign for Momentous Change. It has been affirming to witness first-hand how our alumni are creating momentous change within their own communities across the country.”

Trent has been hosting a series of Momentous Events that will continue through to late Fall. The next planned gatherings are:
New York: September 14 - Private Location
Ottawa: September 19 - Canadian Museum of History
Montreal: September 21 - Location TBC
Halifax: November 9 - Pier 21
