Catharine Parr Traill College

Traill is Trent’s oldest college, founded in 1964. Named after nineteenth-century author and naturalist Catharine Parr Traill, the college has forged a unique identity as Trent’s downtown location.

Established in 1965, Champlain was the first of Tom Symons’ collegiate vision. Today, Champlain’s spirit of adventure, discovery, and global citizenship are reflected in its motto: “continuer nos decouvertes”.

At Lady Eaton College (LEC), tradition meets youthful passion in a welcoming, energetic community. Our namesake, Lady Flora McCrea Eaton, challenged us to “Have an open mind, trust, learn every day, and keep doing it as long as you live.”

Peter Gzowski College

Gzowski College, Trent’s youngest college, was established in 2004 and named after distinguished Canadian broadcaster and former Trent Chancellor, Peter Gzowski. A sense of entrepreneurial risk-taking comes along with our youthful college spirit.
