Connecting communities

SUPPORT COMMUNITY BASED RESEARCH AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

U-Links connects Haliburton Highland organizations with Trent University students and professors, providing industry experience and the community with the research resources to answers questions, solve issues, generate new ideas, and provide support for community events. Since 1989 over 2500 students have benefited from this innovative partnership.

Last term, over 100 undergrad and six graduate students engaged in community-based projects, collaborating with 20 organizations and many local volunteers. Projects included lake and forest health monitoring, shoreline restoration, affordable housing innovation, and more.

To continue these unique opportunities, we need additional resources to support students with transportation, research equipment, supplies, and coordination. Trent and U-Links both contribute, but we need your help to maintain this program.

We hope you will consider supporting Trent students in gaining real world learning experience and while making a valuable contribution to our Haliburton Highlands community.U-Links logo
